The 2021 Kentucky Crappie Trail State Championship fished this past Saturday 10/23 at beautful Nolin Lake where 27 boats came out to compete for the title.
It was an absolutely perfect morning and day to crappie fish as the leaderboard showed with a very consistent weight for all boats. Weather was highs in the lows 60s, sunny with clouds in the end. Over 150 crappie were weighed with the winning weight going to the team of Chad and Stephen Crepps and their 6.657lb bag and their first KCT State Title!
A very close second place went to Charlie Key and Charlie Key Jr with 6.466lbs along with the the big fish of the tournament weighing 1.336lbs. Third place went to Dustin Parks/Parks with 6.404lbs. Congratulations to the top 3 teams.
We want to thank Powell Brother Dock and Marine for donating $150 to the tournaments “small fish” which went to Bobby Swift and his whopped 0.39lb keeper crappie!
Thank to everyone who came out to this years state championship. Where will we go in 2022?!
