November is already here meaning the colder temps and a better crappie bite are here to stay for awhile and this past Saturday was exactly that.
Kentucky Crappie Trail hosted tournaments on Barren River and Lake Cumberland. Both lakes saw double-figure boats attend with the Barren division having 14 and Cumberland division 12.
At the Barren River tournament, Brad Bowles and co-angler Dean McCoy took home the win with their 7.61lb bag. This is their first win since last years divisional classic. Congratulations guys!
Second place with 6.98lbs went to team Johns/Johns while third place by a crappie tail went to team BelcherMcIvor with 6.92lbs along with big fish of 1.50lbs.
Down at our Lake Cumberland tournament, we saw a new KCT record bag come to the scales. Team Delk/Morgan weighed in 7 keepers for 10.27lbs which is the current highest bag weighed in on any KCT scale over the last two seasons. They also brought in the big fish of the day at 2.10lbs. That is now 3 records broke this season and its only been one month!
Second place went to team Baker/Rowe with 7.48lbs which is their 3rd time in the top 3 this season on Cumberland. Third place by a crappie hair went to Reynolds with 7.47lbs.
It was a excellent day for KCT across the state with a bunc of good anglers coming out to compete. Next weekend, 11/9 we head back to Cave Run for the final KCT Eastern KY/Cave Run tournament till March of 2020. Tight lines and see you all on the water!
