Good Monday afternoon to everyone. We are now through the first full month of the 2019/2020 Kentucky Crappie Trail schedule for all of our divisions.
It has been a GREAT first month of the second KCT season as our five divisions all have had great turnouts. The Barren River, Lake Cumberland and Rough River/Nolin divisions all have already seen new high turnout in boats as many more are still finding out about KCT, so keep spreading the word!
Our big fish record has now been broke twice in the first month, both at the Taylorsville Lake tournaments. Team Davis/Hughes caught by Davis had the first record at 2.037lbs but last event team Beam/Beam caught a monster 2.447lb slab caught by Andrew.
Our angler of the year standings for each division now has enough events to take a look at. Here are the top three leaders for each KCT division.
Barren River: Butler/Lowe 8.97lbs, Johns/Johns 8.45lbs, Furlong/Garrett 7.43lbs
Eastern KY/Cave Run: Mays/Nickel 14.8lbs, Mann/Mann 11.01lbs, Crouch/McCarty 9.36lbs
Lake Cumberland: Baker/Rowe 12.16lbs, Gadberry/Stevens 11.83lbs, Dix/Slavey 11.00lbs
Rough River/Nolin: Mattingly/Wicker 11.06lbs, Key/Key Jr 10.73lbs, Margarida/Thewes 8.59lbs
Taylorsville Lake: Estridge/Vest 12.08lbs, Martin/Estridge 11.76lbs, Franke/Matheny 11.585lbs
I will be releasing the first KCT points champion standings come January as we still need a few more events for all anglers/divisions to have a solid total going. We will also be announcing live on our Kentucky Crappie Trail Facebook pages the 2020 state championship lake in the next few days.
Our next tournaments will be November 2nd at Barren River and Lake Cumberland. I hope to see some of you all on the water sometime during the season!
