After what was a very crazy end of the 2019/2020 season due to the virus, we had to reschedule the state championship to the fall. The new date is November 7th, 2020 at Taylorsville Lake.
Our new fall date which also resides during the new season, will be adopted for future seasons meaning all state championships will remain in the fall of the following season.
This year, Taylorsville Lake at Possum Ridge boat ramp will be the host location. Last year, John Boshoff and wife Courtney took home the title during our Green River championship with 35 boats in attendance. This years championship, we expect even more boats with many being eligible.
To be eligible for state, you must have either fished at least 2 tournaments from the 2019/20 season or won 1 tournament from any division. Entry fee will be $100 per 1-2 person team and substitutes who are not eligible are not able to fish.
With the start of the new season just a few weeks out, directors will distribute to those eligible anglers entry forms if wanting to participate. This should be a great state championship at Taylorsville, a lake that produced very good bags all year and no boat traffic!
